Junco is a short walk from Mudam, Luxembourg’s museum of modern art.

Founded in 2006, this museum houses a vast collection of contemporary art, with particular focus on Luxembourgish talent but also showcasing the works of international creators. The building’s architecture is a masterpiece in itself, with pure lines and a play of lights on the one-of-a-kind edifice, located just a few minutes from our restaurant.

You don’t have to be a trained musicologist to appreciate the unique aesthetics of this edifice, whose graceful lines call to mind the curvature of musical instruments. Known for its exceptional acoustics, the building is home to the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra. Have tickets to a concert, show or festival? Enjoy a cocktail or gourmet dinner before heading to this iconic venue. But if you’re simply curious about the Philharmonie, take a guided tour – from the Grand Auditorium to the backstage – to discover its history and anecdotes.

A must-see when in Luxembourg City

A link between the historical Upper Town and the Lower Town, which is located outside the ramparts, the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge is a veritable emblem of the city. With its modern, bright-red structure, it’s hard to miss! Situated about 15 minutes from Junco, the 355-metre bridge promises a magnificent panoramic view of the valley.

History buffs, don’t miss the fortifications at Fort Thüngen, less than a 15-minute walk from the restaurant.

Only three round towers remain of the original edifice, the last vestiges of Luxembourg’s military past. Fort Thüngen is an unmissable stop before or after dining at our restaurant in Kirchberg. Inside, the free Musée Dräi Eechelen (Three Acorns Museum) houses permanent exhibitions displaying a rich collection of historical objects and documents that tell of the city’s history.

After enjoying a delicious meal at Junco, take a postprandial stroll to the Old Town.

Walk along John F. Kennedy Avenue and across the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge to discover the historic heart of Luxembourg City. This pleasant half-hour stroll gives you an opportunity to take the pulse of your environs, leaving behind the fast-paced Kirchberg business district to explore a more touristic area. Wander around Place Guillaume II, enter Notre Dame Cathedral of Luxembourg and visit the Grand Ducal Palace. For something a little more unusual, descend into the underground galleries of the Bock Casemates.
